About me

I am Jesús García Porras, a pianist, composer and music producer from Barcelona, and a member of the Academia de la Música de España. DEAF_HANDS is my artistic project.

“Vibration is also music” sums up the way I understand what I do. I want to create sonic experiences that bring together the piano, emotive electronica and cinematic atmospheres in order to awaken emotions and tell stories.

My connection with electronic music comes from childhood, when I discovered the sound universe of Jean-Michel Jarre. His music awoke in me a fascination with synthesizers and with their ability to create landscapes and convey emotions. That is why my path towards electronica does not mean leaving my roots behind, but rather reconnecting with an influence that has been with me since I was a child.

After a long journey linked to performance and composition at the piano, with experiences also in flamenco and in bands of different musical styles, in 2025 I began a new stage as a music producer. Today I explore how to bring that journey together with the electronic sounds that have always inspired me.

There are works that are born from a single instant: “Piano de Agua”, “A mi hijo” and “Llovía aquella tarde” were improvised and recorded in a single take, like a photograph of what I was feeling. Others develop an audiovisual story, such as “The Fog” and its upcoming continuation, “Viajes inciertos”.

Interviews, magazine appearances and artistic collaborations have allowed my project to reach other countries as well. Along that path, music goes hand in hand with my commitment to giving visibility to autism and to rare diseases. I also want to contribute to the inclusion and the recognition of musicians with disabilities and to support other social causes.

With releases such as “Dile al Sol”, “Shout It to the Sun” and “The Fog”, I keep building a universe of my own. My purpose is to move people, to connect with them and to keep exploring what music allows us to share.
